Contrary to popular belief, a pump is any elegant female shoe with a heel.

A closed flat shoe, normally with a rounded toe, resembling the type worn by ballet dancers.

Wedges have a heel that occupies the entire space under the arch and heel portions of the foot. This type of heel is used for boots, sandals or espadrilles.
Casual, normally flat, but sometimes high heeled shoes. The main characteristics of this shoe are the soles made from rope that is twisted or braided together as well as the canvas or cotton fabric used for the rest of the shoe.
10. Kitten Heels
A short and slender heel with a slight curve that sets the heel inward from the back edge of the shoe. Normally the heel is a maximum of 4.75cm high.
